Over-crowded for the 1st of the month but of course it is 24% out and the temp is already dropping. I am so sad as I just had a female come in saying her husband kicked her out and she has no where to go, but that is a common story, wow common a woman out into the cold?

I had some great stocking hats come in the mail which I just gave out, the people needed winter gloves but I am out, in fact I do not even have coats to give them.

I have been praying about funding of course something that I have to do on regular basis, but today is different because I am trying to pray in some funds before all the bills for Jan. get in. You see I have much to do around here badly but the bills and food needs overwhelm us and they never get done.

I do feel like there is a donation that would come for these things but the person is going back and forth on if they should or not, so help me pray this in.

And yes any donations would help so we have the bill money as the bills come in instead of after; mom said it is the first of the month so she is hoping her mail in donations come in soon.

I will have to tap into the money she has for bills to pay for gas today because I am broke. I have only the money for attire for the bus in the mission paypal account.

We also could use $500 as I would like to order meat from the food-bank and if they will not let us in because we have not gotten our improvements done like the grocery license and kitchen improvements (sink, freezers checked, walk in checked out, etc) then we will go to a meat locker and buy some fresh.

Greetings Saints,

My stomach hurts and burns do you have something for it, look Pastor at my shoes, do you have socks, do you have something for a migraine, ya got anything for a cough, do you have cold meds, I need some gloves and a hat, a coat, we could use a couple of blankets pastor, do you have time to talk my mother is dying, I just found out I have AIDS, pastor they gave me only a few months to live, he beats me, I miss my children, Pastor I need a place to sleep I am afraid of being raped and I have never been homeless before and so it goes as a normal day, you see I hear this and so much more.

Yes a normal day, these are real people, folks that society shuns and mostly figures that someone else will care for their needs as they pass them on the street.

We now go into the aftershock of the Holiday giving being over with, people during the season will drive by and give socks out a, coat or two, or increase their donations to the local agencies thinking that more will go to the people, when it really does not just goes into the budget.

But yes thank Yahweh for these people that hit the street with gloves and other items for that holiday season, even if it is just the season.

Giving is supposed to go on all year long, now we are trying our best to meet the needs of the people so many people. Folks that are not the cream of the crop of homeless, folks that cannot go into shelters for one reason or another, newcomers who are scared of shelters and women who there is NO ROOM at the inn for.

Women left out side that is such a travesty in it’s self, women who have been abused run to the street and find no help but instead are preyed on, and so the story goes in Wichita.

These folks we care for are the ones last on this list if they are on it at all, oh yes let me not forget to say a special word for the guys and gals that live outside under the bridges all year, yes all year.

Temps at night are down to zero and some people do not even have coats……

And just like these folks, Wichita shuns us, as it was just pointed out to me because of our Messianic Jewish beliefs people want nothing to do with helping us. But so far My Yahweh is greater than that he has funded us now into our 11th year.

We are not some middle class family living in a big nice house but a family that lives in a small house paid for by paying back taxes. The foundations are sinking more and more every year but at least we are better off than the people with no beds.

Mom(my wife) when she makes it to our bed at night thanks the Lord out loud for just having a bed. We have pledged our lives to helping them the downtrodden…oh yes did I say some agencies will not help or speak good of us because of the way I dress…They rely on their good looks as a cloak for their sins.

We came into 2010 with all the bills caught up, but now January expenses are here, never a extra penny to get the needed other things for this ministry, like:

The Broken Copy machine needs to go to the shop or a new one donated.

We are in bad need of a up to date computer maybe two as the one at church is about to crash.

I need to get a CD copy machine and be able to order CD for the ministry at Kingdom, if I do this it would bring a professional look to our CD’s and people would order more, right now they are just CD’s with magic marker for writing on them.

We need to upgrade our sink at the mission Church.

Walk in cooler still needs a service call.

Awning needs to be build outside, once I was donated $1,000 to build it but we had to wait a year on a blue-print so the man who donated said if we needed it for something else just use it, we did. With prices having gone up we need $1,500 for the awning for the outside tables to go under. Right now the people just get wet if they go outside.

At least two monitors as mine are all older donated ones going out…

This list could just go on as you see we just make do going on and on not stopping, you see I was called to do what we do, in fact I was kept up all night till I did agree to do it.

So on I will go until I drop as I am obedient to the Lord Yeshua, we go on by Faith. So yes we need your help to help them, no I am not asking for money for my family but money for the ministry.

Please lift us up in prayer, and help if you possibly can!

Greetings Saints, December 25, 2009

Today we drove over through very harsh winds and blowing snow so we could open for the people. Many have no place to be until night with everything closed, so we are here. Mom is making them Shepard’s pie one of my favorite dishes, a real treat to a poor person, and of course I grew up on food such as this.

The 23rd was our 24th wedding anniversary, time just fly’s when you are having fun right, really time always seemed slow until we had children now a year seems like nothing. My Oldest son is 20 and married with two children and one on the way, my daughter is just turned 18 and moving out and of course she has a fiancée… for the record mom and I got to spend two days alone, wow that was different, first time we have been that alone since we had children!

The year now has come and will be gone in a few days, we saw some people that have been long-time homeless get out of the street this year about 60 some through a program called housing first. That was a real blessing, but you see for that number that got out many more came to take their place, These new homeless people are fresh to the street mostly just because of lost jobs.

We are praying for a miracle this year (we have many all year long) but this one will help us expand greatly to care for the people 24/7. Really because of the economy this last year I am sure most of you noticed I had to beg all year long, in Fact October we almost had to shut down but the Father kept us open through your kind donations. This is our 11th year and the Lord Yeshua has helped thousands of people in many different ways through this Mission church.

We had one of our helpers who really more than a helper I guess you would say as he has been helping us serve food and many other things since almost the first. He got the Bank where he works to sponsor Holiday gifts for the people for several years, which mostly always turned out to be shoes, coats, hats, and gloves.

This year he helped fund raise for disadvantaged children which is a great thing, he got to sit in the lobby of a large church with three signs one for the children, one for the Wichita food bank, and a sign for us.

People he said just donated without question, he did point out if they knew we were Messianic Jewish then more than likely we would have not gotten much in donations. And that is the reason why it takes so much to get support even on radio or online, many people are deceived into hating anything that is even remotely connected to Jews… Amazing because the Savior Yeshua was, born a Jew, died king of the Jews and will come back as the lion of the tribe of Judah which believers are grafted into….about now most people have stopped reading.

We fill a large gap in services no one else fills, whenever someone comes in they really are in shock to what all we really do and the homelike way the place feels, which is the love of Yahweh as Family as this is the way it is supposed to be, Family not putting Yahweh in a box. When I want to help someone or rather the Holy Spirit tells me to I do not have to go to a board of directors to help then I just do it. A Church IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO COMMAND a pastor what to do, you see a minister is supposed to be the head congregation Under Messiah, oh well …..

I pray that any of you that can will consider a end of the year donation as mom needs to stock food, paper products (napkins, plates, toilet paper etc) I need to get radio paid also.

It would be nice to start the new year with the bills and everything all caught up!

No there was no new radio program with week as do to what day it fell on, it is hard for people to be on the air on the 24th as it will next week. I plan on pre recording something for next week.

I know many of you today are remembering Messiah, please remember that we are called to remember him all year long, that spirit of giving that you are doing is something we and you should do all year long as; Matthew 22:34 35Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Yeshua said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

This does mean being our brother’s keepers, not just praying for someone but trying if at all possible to go out of your way, and meet their need as;

James 2:14 14What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

James was just teaching what he was taught be Messiah, that is the end of things we will be judged on how we treat others out of love, yes love, this means sacrifice for others just as Messiah died for us we are to sacrifice to serve him by serving others as:

Matthew 25:31 31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Will you be in the sheep or the goats? 37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

The Word tells us of these things

Philippians 2:1 1If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

2Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

3Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

4Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

And remember he did not ever call us to remember His birth but to remember him in His death as Paul tells us; 1 Corinthians 11:23

23For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Yeshua the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

24And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

27Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

I pray you all are safe and healthy and you are ready for what the new year will bring, Remember those that have less than you and truly if you want to serve our Father do so by helping others…

First off I have no TV video to offer this year, the last 3 years we have had channel 3 cover what we do but not this year, such is the way of things.

This last year while helping more people, new people, we have been quieter to the city about the conditions of the homeless.

You see for the last 10 years since we started the same things always happens, people bring forward the knowledge of the problems of the homeless but then the agencies step forward and tell everyone that they have it under control.

The last best effort was put forward a few years ago when AECH was started, at one point many people were involved and ready to fund raise and go forward on a 24/7 shelter but an agency convinced the people that they should wait and people lost interest.

Also the city came forward with a task force to cure the problem and AECH decided to wait on the results, of course no new shelter was proposed, as on the task force were people from the agencies that would be hurt by a new shelter.

So AECH was let down and the momentum was stopped.

Praise the Lord, AECH now the last 2 years have fund raised for the overflow to let in anyone in and to be open 5 months instead of the traditional 3 months of winter. So a big hand for AECH!

Also still there are people that will come in an overflow for more than one reason, like the way they had been treated in the past, some are mental and cannot handle crowds, many reasons some just stay out under the bridges.

This year we had a very good time, we say many new faces from people who recently became homeless due to the economy. At dinnertime there was not a chair left and some just came and got a plate and left, we served over a 100 plates of food a little less than last year I think but mom always knows the numbers better than I do.

On new fellow was talking to me trying to describe how we were different, it went something like this “Well there the other places that feed want you to well just eat and get out quick, then others that do let you stay just have well rules, or it’s hard to explain and here it like well….Family, everything is relaxed and it’s well like family”

And this is what we mean we give them a “family atmosphere, that is a Godly Family atmosphere” we make them feel warm and wanted. They know that we are different as HIS people should be and so this makes them come to us asking for prayers and guidance.

Some told us this was the best Thanksgiving they ever had, consider that with the very crowded manner in which we are….and it was the best they ever had……

And yes we stayed over, we had 33 to 35 people staying over and yes that was allot on the floor, I can put roughly 50 on the floor as I have in the past. No one complained about blankets on a hard floor!

Of course I want to thank all that donated to Thanksgiving, may the Lord Yeshua bless and keep you.

I am sad about one thing, I had hoped more money would have came in from me being on Raiders News Network as I wanted to buy shoes, hats, and gloves for the people, now no way unless a miracle happens as that alone is $3,000.

We need to pray in the money for December bills that are coming in before they come to shut offs. We do not want to get behind like we was in October where we really almost shut down. Thanksgiving marks our 11th year Amen (inside a building, we fed outside a few months before going inside), and yes I am broke except for a $25 donation I received yesterday.

How You Can Help!
Let it be known to your friends and neighbors that there are not enough beds in Wichita for the men and women. Women if they go homeless are just going to hit the streets 99% as there are not enough beds.

Pray for them, and get active tell your pastors, city council people, and city officials that it is not acceptable for people to live in the street. While there are many programs to get people into housing the waiting lists sometimes, most of the time are years long.

There needs to be a NEW 24/7 walk in shelter for men, women, and families. If there was no need then why do they open the over-flow every year?

If you wish to help us do what we do then

Most people who do what we do as much as we do have large churches or other organizations that fund them. We are a family church driving over 120 miles round trip to come over to Wichita. I pray that Wichita would support us in helping their neighbors, right now 99% of all funding comes from out of the state and out of the USA. If funds allowed I would open a 24/7 shelter, but I would be happy just to not have to beg so much for money over my radio program just to do all we do.

Luke 21:1
1And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. 2And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 3And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: 4For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

First I will you about a man whom I prayed for; last week he came to the window of the bus when I was picking people up. He wanted to pray for me so I said okay, after he was done I prayed for him to have an increase in finances.

Today he told me after the prayer he walked down the street and got a job for $12 and hour! A real praise report, he said that the Lord had told him I had a real calling on my life and to keep doing what I am doing……..

We see miracle prayers like this all the time.

I think we can breath now that we have been able to pay up the currant bills including what we owed the food bank. Two weeks ago we were just hours away from actually shutting down for the first time in 10 years.

Bills had doubled and then we missed the shut off dates anyone of a number of things could have been shut off at anytime, but at the very last moments our Father saved us, as normal he uses people to do so. So if I missed thanking you saints for donating and saying prayers for us from the bottom of my heart I thank you.

This year has been a funny year for finances, mostly we would have to get desperate, with this time being the very worst, then people would bail us out. When we have shut off’s and things it always costs more as most of you know, I just pray that people would donate before we get desperate.

Right now we have NO money for Thanksgiving, mom told me she might have $30 left after paying the bills, I have gas money and that is it, I am not complaining but we really need to pray in money for Thanksgiving dinner, paper products, Bibles, shoe money, medication money, and the bus to get fixed.

Yes I am broke, but a preacher should be the brokest guy around right?

I want you to pray that the people of Wichita really look at what we are doing for their poor and see the truth. We do things that no other ministry in this city does for them, we fill a large gap in services and we live 60 miles away. I do not want their thanks I just think Wichita should donate to help their poor, supporting what we have been doing without their support for 10 years.

There are good people in this city that would help if somehow they knew what all we do. So take this to prayer, the Father can do anything!

So please lift us to prayer and see if you are led to become a monthly supporter or weekly? Anything will help, people do not understand that a $10 a $25, etc donation adds up. And yes you can mail if you so chose. But really consider a donation towards Thanksgiving please do not wait until the last minute.

I figured I would share, I just had a woman in her late forties come in with a child about 8 years old. Her money did not come today so she will be kiked out to the street with her child……What could I say but I have no money. I am almost in tears.

In Fact the way things are going we are hardly making it for all the others. I know I am supposed to be here because I was told to be Here until the people styopped coming…..well they have not just come in greater numbers. My heart is breaking again today…..

Today was a rough day on me not that others days are much better with being in turmoil over caring for the people. My Father called me, sent me forth to come over here and care for so many people. As one of callings is to be a pastor to the people being really led by the holy Spirit a pastor will hurt when the sheep hurt, in my case there are 1,000’s that come though yearly.

In fact I was up all night but about 30 minutes to an hour talking to the Father about what is going on, so today I have been worn out physically and mentally.

Today was a day of faith I bought shoes out of very little money I had then the Father replaced it with a $50 donation. It was the women today with bare feet ( sandals ) one with a baby in a stroller, living outside place to place in already freezing temps with bare feet.

The woman were very humble about it and HE provided, but I am the one in the middle dealing with the emotions. These women who have it rougher than men in the street just what would they do were we not here?

One woman today asked for prayers of “Just whatever the Lord Has for me” as I prayed, I felt the hurt of a broken relationship among other feelings I got.

Later I found that a man just threw her out for another woman, something this man does a lot as he offers love and a warm bed till he finds a new woman, none ever staying long, he is a predator. And there are many out there as women hardly have any choices or shelters that are not full.

Today I had some hats I found in the closet along with 10 I bought from wal-mart as they are only $1 a hat there. We also gave out some of the very last of the socks I have along with cold meds, most everyone needing pain meds which I do not have.

So many people with more coming due to the economy, right now I should be increasing help and we just seem to fight shut off’s this year and getting worse, this last month we almost went under.

So daily we go on with the Hope of our Savior Yeshua or Messiah, without him we would be broken, so many days my heart literally breaks for these people.

So many use the saying that oh they are where they want to be as really just an excuse not to help them. The homeless are people too and many are just like you and me.

I pray for this nation and hurt so bad for what is coming as I see first had many more people hitting the streets because of lack of work, it will not be better soon for them, I just pray for the strength to go on and the money to do so.

I pray that things will turn around soon as we are already having to thank a head towards Thanksgiving which we do with the people every year.

I pray that the funds for radio is met this week.

Please pray that a Miracle like we have seen many times comes, we need a pressure release……………….

Homeless and Poor ministry

Greetings,

The biggest problem as I have seen it over the last 10 years in Wichita, Ks and the Homeless is this.

There are several agencies that deal with the homeless, add the Christian based ones and you find the general problem. What the very people helping the homeless are the problem?

(Okay not all are like this but most)

Yes you see every time someone does a study or like the last venture with the rallies etc that led to having a task force on Homelessness, the agencies circle their wagons saying Oh we can care for everyone hmm why would they say that when all the beds in the city are taken? There is NO ROOM at the Inn for many and general proof is if they can care for everyone and there are enough beds then why do they have to open an overflow EVERY WINTER?

When I first started I was literally accused by one Church lady who feeds once a week said that I was trying to steal her ministry, Heh I was not even feeding on HER day?

At the end of the study by the task force that had people on it that had shelters or fed people, the study said that their was only needed 50 more beds in Wichita a number that could be met by currant agencies.

Wow, what an un-truth, again go see how many is in the overflow next month, then tell me how many beds are needed. Even with that not all get inside.

The Truth is women are desperate in the city of Wichita I know I see them every day we are open. Yes the men to but it is a shame for a woman abused by her husband has to go live in the street and be preyed on!

Yes men and more men than women need beds also; many only need temporary beds and a address so they can get help. A safe place to stay for a few weeks until they can find a job if possible.

You will always have the poor among you but that does not mean they are to be ignored.

10 years we have been fighting this battle and I still pray for the money to open a full time shelter or as now I just pray to be able to stay open. With all I do for Wichita I get no support.

And of course I will get fallout from these guilt agencies, BUT truth is truth!

Pray for the homeless in Wichita and pray for our ministry so we can just stay open..

 The 10 WORDS  

The Below I got from a Rabbi’s weekly Torah portion, and it inspired me to write this. People in this world are in such a rush.

Hurry here or there with no account of the people around us. The Bigger the city the more this seems to be the case.

Our Messiah, Yeshua tells us

Matthew 5:43

⁴³Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. ⁴⁴But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; ⁴⁵That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. ⁴⁶For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? ⁴⁷And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? ⁴⁸Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

But most fall down in even loving our neighbors or their own families! So the question arises are you a blessings to others? Torah teaches it and for sure Yeshua Messiah does as does the rest of the testimonies.

A saved person is supposed be a blessing to others ….

And if you look up the word Charity then you will find it means LOVE

1 Corinthians 13:1

¹Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. ²And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. ³And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

⁴Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,  ⁵Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; ⁶Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;  ⁷Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

⁸Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.  ⁹For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. ¹⁰But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.  ¹¹When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.   ¹²For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.  ¹³And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

KEY IDEAS FOR A KINDER WORLD

1.     Be resolved to become a kind person. How do you do this? Think, speak, and act with kindness.

2.     Love kindness. When you do what you love, you are happy. A master of kindness is a master of joy.

3.     When encountering someone, let your first thoughts be, “What kind words can I say to this person and what kind things can I do?”

4.     Keep asking people, “What can I do for you?”

5.     Everyone needs encouragement. Ask yourself, “What can I say that will be encouraging?”

6.     Wherever you are, you are there for a reason. Ask yourself, “Since I am here now, what kindness can I do?”

7.     Every kind person is unique. You have unique talents, skills, knowledge, and resources. Utilize them to help others in your own unique way. Ask yourself, “In what unique ways can I be kind?”

8.     Do a daily act of kindness without letting anyone know who did it.

9.     Learn from every kind act you see or read about. Ask yourself, “How can I learn from this to be kinder?”

10. A valuable rule is, “Even if you don’t feel like a kind person, you can still act like one.” Think of a kind act you can do that you don’t feel like doing.

11. Think of a kindness telephone call that you can make today.

12. Think of a kindness note, letter, or email that you can write today.

13. View your own pain, distress, and suffering as tools for empathy and understanding. Ask yourself, “How can this experience help me be a kinder person?”

14. Keep asking yourself, “If I were this person, what would I want others to do for me?”

15. As soon as you recognize a need, volunteer to do something about it. Don’t wait until you are asked.

16. Listen to those who need a listening ear. Listening to someone is a great act of kindness.

17. If you know that someone is looking for a job or needs to earn more money, ask yourself, “What can I do to make it happen?”

18. Be empathetic and compassionate. Be resolved not to cause distress, pain, or loss with your words and action.

19. Learn from everyone. Keep asking people, “What kindnesses from others have you appreciated?”

20. Pray for the welfare of others.

You can argue all you want about days to keep or not keep, laws, etc but one thing that is claimed by all is that Love is number one, or should be as

Matthew 22:34

³⁴But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. ³⁵Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, ³⁶Master, which is the great commandment in the law? ³⁷ Yeshua said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. ³⁸This is the first and great commandment. ³⁹And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ⁴⁰On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Remember

Matthew 6:19

¹⁹Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: ²⁰But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: ²¹For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. ²²The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. ²³But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! ²⁴No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Careful of that stranger you meet on the street or even at your door for He might be an angel come to check on you…..
